Leads
Leads define the engage and retract motions at the beginning and end of working passes. These settings control how the tool enters and leaves the machining path, including the shape, direction, and dimensions of the additional motions.
This section describes the lead options available for different operation types, including roughing waterline, face milling, 3D and 5D machining, contouring, and cladding. Refer to the topic for the required operation type when choosing how to connect working passes to approach, retract, and linking motions.
