ENCY configurations

Cutting

Contains operations for 2D milling and cutting. Designed especially for 2-axis milling machines or cutters.

Available operations: 2D contouring, Hole machining, Jet cutting 2D, Jet cutting 4D, Auxiliary.

2.5x Mill

Parts production based on drawings. Drawings can be created with the embedded ENCY drawing editor or imported. This configuration does not work with surfaces.

In combination with the “Lathe” option, it can be used for mill-turn machines programming.

Available operations: 2D contouring, Flat land, Face Milling, Hole machining, Engraving, Pocketing, 2.5D pocketing, 2.5D Flat land, 2.5D Wall machining, 2.5D contouring, Roughing waterline, Chamfering, Jet cutting 2D.

3x Mill Entry

Configuration for parts production using a 3-axis milling machine and a 3D model of the part. Best for producing parts with simple curved surfaces.

In combination with the “Lathe” option, it can be used for mill-turn machines programming.

Available operations:

All operations from 2.5x mill: 2D contouring, Flat land, Face Milling, Hole machining, Engraving, Pocketing, 2.5D pocketing, 2.5D Flat land, 2.5D Wall machining, 2.5D contouring, Chamfering, Jet cutting 2D.

3x Mill Advanced

An advanced solution for 3-axis machine programming. Includes the production of parts with complex curved surfaces, e.g., molds and dies.

Rotary

Rotary milling programming designed for 4-axis milling machines.

5x Mill

ENCY for milling machines at its full power. Capable of programming 5-axis machines with Tool Center Point Management (TCPM).

WireEDM

Includes operations for 2-axis, 2-axis with taper, and full 4-axis Wire EDM cutting. Designed especially for Wire EDM machines.

Multichannel machining is a separate option and is not included in “Turn” by default.

3+2 (5-axis indexing) machining

This option enables LCS usage and comprehensive approach and retract, as well as links handling for multi-axis machines.

This option is included and turned off in all milling configurations starting from 2.5x Mill by default. Users can turn it on as needed.

Adaptive

ENCY’s module for high-speed milling.

Multichannel

This option enables multichannel machining with user defined synchronization points. Robots are supported. Good for dual-channel. Harder to use for 3+ channel machining.

G-code based

This option adds support for G-code-based operations: “G-code based milling”, “G-code based lathe”.

These operations allow you to perform:

  • direct control of the machine simulation using G-codes;

  • check and optimize the NC program;

  • convert the NC text from one controller to another (for machines with identical kinematic scheme);

  • debug your own interpreter during its creation.

Wire EDM machining is not supported.

Teamcenter integration

This integration module is designed to obtain the required in creating NC code data for CNC machines from PLM system to Teamcenter and for transferring the NC code, a list of processing operations, and a tool statement to the PLM system after toolpath calculation.

Allows adding features that make it possible to control 6-axis (articulated) robots when you have only configuration of ENCY for usual machines (milling etc.).

Implements functionality for automatic weld seam geometry calculation.

Painting

Painting simulation allows you to see the areas of the parts that will be painted, as well as perform control of the thickness of the future paintwork (depending on the chosen type of painting).

The following operations are possible:

  • Laser heat treatment;

  • Gas-plasma heat treatment;

  • Other kinds of heat treatment processes.
